Based in Western Massachusetts, Alan works locally and remotely to help refine arrangements, get great sounds quickly, and deliver mixes that translate across systems—so your musical vision is captured efficiently and realized with clarity, warmth, and punch.

Mixing

Alan will take recordings he’s worked on with you—or tracks from any other studio—and craft mixes you’ll love. He brings deep experience as a musician, producer, and engineer to enhance tone, tighten arrangements, and deliver polished, dynamic mixes that serve your song. Sessions include noise cleanup, balance and automation, EQ, compression, saturation where needed, depth and spatial placement, and a final mastering-ready bounce. Revisions are included to ensure the mix matches your vision.

Mastering

Optimize: Benefit from Alan's years of listening and experience in this final step. Your master will sound and feel great on streaming, vinyl, AND CD.

Alan applies decades of critical listening and technical know-how to create masters that translate across formats. He balances loudness and dynamics for streaming platforms, preserves low-end and warmth for vinyl cutting, and ensures clarity and consistency for CD replication. The result is a finished master that:

  • Retains musicality and punch on streaming services without unwanted compression artifacts.

  • Preserves groove, bass response, and stereo image for optimal vinyl playback.
